The perfect complement to watching the Art Summit 2021, the Makana Box by Tastes of Aloha features a selection of goodies from Hawai‘i, including a fun lilikoi cocktail mix, handmade chocolates, mamaki tea, and a collection of poetry written by Richard Hamasaki. Our Makana Box is a fundraising effort to support our work towards HT22, as well as an opportunity to curate a selection of items from community partners whose connection to the land (aina) and its people make Hawai‘i such a special place.

Inspired by our work? Share our Makana box as a gift of aloha with a friend--multiple shipping address options available during checkout. (Please allow 3-5 business days for shipping. U.S. addresses only.) Box availability extended until March 31, 2021!

Art Summit 2021 is a thematic precursor to the Hawai‘i Triennial 2022 (HT22), which takes the Triennial theme of ‘Pacific Century – E Ho‘omau no Moananuiākea’ to explore the juncture between the Pacific and the Continental US.

From February 10-13, the Art Summit is a multi-day series of public talks, panels, and performance-based events, engaging with local communities through meaningful dialogue. Guest curated by Dr. Melissa Chiu with associate curators Dr. Miwako Tezuka and Drew Kahu‘āina Broderick, the Art Summit explores Pacific interconnectedness, activism, indigenous knowledge and social practice in Hawai‘i and beyond. This virtual event is FREE and open to the public.
