Hawai‘i Contemporary (formerly the Honolulu Biennial Foundation) is a nonprofit organization based in Honolulu. We aim to connect Hawai‘i to the Pacific and beyond through contemporary art and ideas. As the only visual arts organization in Hawai‘i dedicated to presenting global and local contemporary art, we're building on our past successes of two biennials in 2017 and 2019, and two Hawai‘i Triennials in 2022 and 2025 to bring together our communities across the archipelago around art and ideas. We complement these events with year-round public programming and professional mentoring for artists, collaborating with cultural and community partners to strengthen our local arts ecosystem.
